How To Book Weddings in 3 steps {everytime}
When you’re first starting out in wedding photography, it might be a struggle to find clients and get wedding inquiries. And once you get an inquiry, then what? How do you keep them and book them?
This was a question I found myself with 10 years ago when I first started booking weddings on my own (not as a second shooter). Over the years, I stream-lined my system, I found my ideal clients at my ideal price point and now I book 75% of my inquiries when I’m available for them.
Here’s 3 tips on how to grow your business and most importantly book weddings:
Show your enthusiasm, professionalism and expertise at the first point of contact.
Have a consistent, sequential system of emails that build trust with your clients and build your reputation. If you’re looking for a system of client email templates that will help you get booked and keep your calendar full, check out The Wedding Business Bundle. The Wedding Business Bundle contains over 20 well-written and professional email templates taking you from the initial point of contact with a client, all the way to the final gallery delivery email (+ a lot more). Not only does this take away the guesswork from how to respond professionally to your clients, it saves you a ton of time!
This one might be controversial- but don’t act desperate. Clients can sense it, and it is a turn-off for most people. I do a maximum of one follow-up and that’s it. Also, you don’t want to chase someone who may not be the right fit for you. Other clients will come along who love your work and love your enthusiasm and professionalism and booking will come easy for them.
